In 2012, Rachel beat out over 3,000 bands in the US to secure her top 12 finalist spot for Ford’s Gimme the Gig II Contest. As part of the contest, she was able to showcase her original music in front of Grammy-award winning producer Don Was and renowned sound engineer Krish Sharma for a KTLA Television feature. With 2 albums out, Rachel is working on her new EP, Getting There, at the legendary Milkboy Studios in Philadelphia.
Her single Perfectly Imperfect was released in April of 2015 and landed her international radio and television placement for defying all odds to get a piano on a Malibu cliff. Domestically, she was able to talk about the process of the video and meaning behind the song on Good Morning America and Inside Edition. The song is dedicated to those who struggle with self-worth and self-love. She’s working with local and international organizations to help promote a healthy self-image among young and old people alike.
In 2017, Rachel competed against 10,000 other independent artists across the country to secure at top 5 finalist spot for the Guitar Center Singer/Songwriter contest to win a chance to produce an EP with producer RedOne (Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Usher) and Australian Singer-Songwriter Cody Simpson. As part of the competition, Rachel performed in front of a sold out crowd at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood.
A seasoned performer, Rachel flawlessly performed the National Anthem for the NBA Portland Trailblazers on February 15, 2024 at the Moda Center in front of a crowd of 20,000.
